Prattle passed away at four days old, under the care of the doctors at a local emergency clinic. While they were unable to pinpoint an exact cause, it’s their supposition that Prattle had congenital defects that would have been untreatable in any case. It would seem that this outcome was inevitable, even with the best of care.

It’s possible that these issues were shared with or related to the issues that caused the fifth fetus to be stillborn.

Fortunately, the remaining three kittens seem to be doing quite well and there’s no reason to suspect that they share any issues.
