Greetings, Kitten Academicians!

Once again we’re a little late in making a blog post to announce the October art challenge! The mysterious Banksyl has created a list of art prompts and you are invited to participate in any fashion that fits your fancy, whether you sketch, paint, sculpt, knit, whistle… whatever you are inspired to do by the prompts, just tweet them at us with the #KAHarvest2020 hashtag!

In a change from previous months, the art we’re posting from the last art prompt, the July Beach Party, has been self-selected for publication by the artists themselves! They’re all great, so here we go:

If you’d like to participate, all you need to do is draw, paint, sculpt, knit, write a song about, make a photocollage, or… whatever strikes your fancy, that’s in some way related to the daily art prompt, then tweet it with the hashtag #KABeachParty2020 on Twitter, and maybe @kitten_academy too!

Our very own mysterious Banksyl has arranged a new “art challenge” for April with a different prompt for each day. If you’ve never tried this before, all you do is draw (or paint, or digitize, or knit, or sculpt, or whatever strikes your fancy) anything that comes to mind based on the day’s prompt. Here’s the list:

In order to fully participate, you’ll want to post your results on Twitter with the hashtag #KAArtsyApril2020 — That way it’s easy for Syl to hunt down all the participants and pick out some of her favorites for a future post here.
